Rating: - Nice Book !!!
Body For Life lays out a step by step program for beginers who need to drop weight and do not know where to start. While the exercises are basic, they are good for beginers. The meals are given in a systematic fashion that is easy to follow and the author recommends his protien shakes as meal replacement or as a snack depending on the results that you want-weigt loss or gain muscle. Overall good for beginers. I did like the author's suggestion about reducing caffeine intake. I've been off coffee after my doctor told me it caused me acid indigestion. He recommended a book called "The Truth About Caffeine: How Companies That Promote it Deceive us and What We Can Do About It. Highly Recommended..
Rating: - Some great ideas, minus the supplement hype.
This is a great book designed for individuals who are looking for weight loss. It's easy to understand, and doesn't confuse the reader with all of the technical jargon that can make a person quit eating right and exercising. It does tend to push EAS supplements (a requirement to enter the contest) and although convenient, there are other, less expensive ways to get the recommended 6 meals per day. Having participated in the contest and doing well in the 12 weeks of time, I must admit that some aspects will help the reader/user achieve their goals, the workouts are a good starting point, and the concept of the free-day, although not revolutionary, is well founded with scientific research.
Rating: - 12 weeks of disapointement !
Hi, I'm not Bill Phillips, but I followed 12 week program just like everyone else and bought so many supplements and worked real hard!
